Python FOR Statistics
This course will cover the main methods of statistics while developing simple and effective python scripts. Implement your statistical analysis while learning Python at the same time. Hands on examples and notebooks included. The course will be very interactive, with exercises solved in class and group work, when possible.
At the end of the course you will have your own Jupyter notebooks that perform the analysis of your choice, including interval estimations for means and proportions, hypothesis testing for means and proportions, sample size calculations, simple linear regression, and contingency tables. In addition, you will receive the lecture notes that have been revised during the lectures.
Some practice in any language (e.g. R, MatLab, Fortran, C) is necessary for a smooth participation. Elementary knowledge of statistics is a pre-requisite to participate. People expert in Python may profit from this course if they need to review their statistics knowledge.
